Finding Affordable Housing
Sequim is in an urgent housing crisis. Tackling this challenge is a top priority. This is a deep rooted and complex problem and there is no magic "Silver Bullet" that will fix it. I believe that by working together as a city and community, we can find innovative solutions that will begin to make a difference. Read more here.
Being homeless and/or fighting addiction are not crimes. These are human catastrophes which call for an informed compassionate response. Rather than being frightened or ignoring these people, our city and community have a common obligation to understand them and respond in a constructive and compassionate manner. Read more here.
Dealing with Racism
All of Sequim's citizens should be safe from the physical and emotional violence of racism. This is one of the proper functions of our city government. Racism does exist in our city and our government and the community should be involved in efforts to identify it and find ways to overcome it. Read more here.
Combatting Climate Change
Human induced climate change is a serious, urgent and potentially catastrophic threat to the entire planet. Our small town is involved and cannot escape the consequences. We can and must do our share to help address this challenge. Read more here.
